Original Cocktail: Catch Me Outside
How 'bout dat? For those of you in need of a daiquiri alternative that goes down a little too easy, I present to you this tasty little rum snack.
Catch Me Outside
1.5 oz aged rum*
.5 oz Aperol
.75 oz fresh lime juice
Shake all ingredients with ice, double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Rinse and repeat.
*I've tried this one with several different rums, but I developed the cocktail using Ron Abuelo 7 year from Panama. Use a not too fancy aged rum like El Dorado 5 year or Denizen aged rum and you'll still be solid.

Just made this, and it's delicious! I used OFTD plantation overproof rum, because that was all the aged rum I had, and diluted it to 2/3 strength. I found the resulting drink very slightly tart, so I added a maraschino cherry and was very happy.
